There is no proscribed musical standard for admission to the group but players should be proficient at reading music. Commitment is valued over virtuosity. Current accommodation and the nature of chamber music limits the size of group meetings to 8 -10 players, but if interest grows we may by able to run more groups. Players are encouraged to bring music with them that they would like to play.

I've set this group up to sample some of that with like-minded others in an accessible down-to-earth way. You don't hav …

This is an Edinburgh based group aimed at people in their 20s and 30s who want to go out and make new friends but who find it difficult because of their lifestyle or because they are a bit shy. This group is designed to help us all meet a wider range of people and I'm really hoping (although it’s not up to me) that on top of coming along to events, people will get to know each other and form friendships independent of the group. To help facilitate that, we have a (totally voluntary), private Fa …
The idea of starting this group came from seeing my nutrition clients struggling to break socialising habits which revolved around pubs. Where there is of course a place for socialising in pubs (I'm not a complete bore), the ideal scenario for getting healthy and enjoying it with friends is to take your socialising elsewhere. Whether that is a walk, a bike ride and a picnic or an hour of Zumba followed by lunch, it helps to have a group of friends to encourage each other. This group is for peop …
